ROKOKO AND CATS
Who doesn't dream about the Rococo epoch? Mozart's and Haydn's music… Golden curls on furniture, door handles, pictures, powdered wigs, clavecin… We give a nostalgic sigh – we wish we had just a glance! As a fly or as a mouse we wish to creep in that sacred time!
Would you like to creep in there as a cat? “Altera Musica” and Samara Bach's Society are holding A Small Cat Concert in Rococo. Why cat , would you ask ?
The Rococo epoch is the time of love, tenderness, exquisite emotional pleasures. Who are we to love then? After all, the eighteenth century passed ling time ago. Where are all those Amours, nymphs, muses, languishing belles and beauties of Mozart's time?
“Altera Musica” as well as Samara Bach's Society knows for sure where that capriccioso muse of Rococo is. There she is, a three-colored beauty. Guitarist Yury Zyuzin is fondly clasping his favourite Muska to his bosom. A pink Peachy is embracing Olga Ostrovskaya's neck with frantic murmur. And who is that belle purring in an armchair? This is actress Elena Orlova playing the role of her own cat Misyusya. Cats are the honored members of Bach's Society and the inspirers of “Altera Musica”. Natalya Eskina dedicates poem after poem to her precious Musilda. Mozart writes his “ Cat Duet ”.
Wait ! Is Mozart a member of Samara Bach's Society?
Sure! Anyone may become its member, anyone who shares our passions. Bach's society is:
Respectful attitude towards Earlymusic
Catomania
Arts
and
Love.
These are the most significant values of our life. But the most important of them is Love. Love of Bach, cats, music. These values are presented by “Altera Musica” to the respected audience – the selected group of connoisseurs.
The posters for the concert announce: The best cats' music in the best performance! The best cats' poetry in the authorized translations from Cattish! “And don't you dare to let the dogs in!” – The pink fluffy Peachy reminds us.
